Description:

A three-year post to provide teaching and research in the field of EnglishLanguage from 1 October 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The individual will be expected to give lectures, classes,dissertation/graduate supervision and to assist with assessing for relevantpapers of the undergraduate and graduate programme. The ability to teach inone or more of the following areas will be an advantage: variation andchange in contemporary English, British English dialects, global Englishes,structure of present day English, English corpus linguistics.

The successful candidate will have a good record in teaching, research andpublished scholarship in English Language; and should have been awarded adoctoral degree in English Language by the time of appointment.
