Available for Postgraduate Study in Linguistics and Language Sciences in CRiLLS

1 AHRC Doctoral Studentship (PhD): For further information please visit theUniversity Postgraduate website. Applications must be submitted by the 5th March2010.

Newcastle University International Postgraduate Scholarships (NUIPS) of£1,500-£3,000. These are available for international students (non-UK/non-EU).In very exceptional circumstances, the value of the NUIPS may be increase to£3,000 per year at the discretion of the International Scholarships Committee.

The following is available for English Language or Linguistics PhD in the Schoolof English Language, Literature and Linguistics only:

1 fees and maintenance bursary (total value £11,000 for a Language / LinguisticsPhD. This is only available for unsuccessful applicants of the AHRC DoctoralStudentship who are automatically submitted.

The following is available for Postgraduate study in the School of ModernLanguages only:

Six postgraduate studentships for all taught Masters programmes and for MLitt /PhD programmes. These studentships are open to students of all nationalities andwill be worth the equivalent of UK/EU tuition fees. Deadline for applicationsfor School Studentships: 25 June 2010

Additionally one full Master studentship for any of the taught Masters or MLittprogrammes in SML. This studentship is open to students of all nationalities andwill be worth the equivalent of UK/EU tuition fees plus a maintenance grant.

The following is available for Postgraduate study in the School of Education,Communication and Language Sciences only:

ECLS have ESRC recognition for 1+3 and +3 routes in Linguistics and inEducation. They offer one Faculty Research Scholarship of £4,000 linked to anESRC application. This is available to UK/EU students only.
