Description:
The Department of Romance Philology of the University of Cologne is lookingfor a recent MA major in Romance Philology or General Linguistics orComputational Linguistics with a keen interest in Corpus Linguistics.
Candidates should have a good experience in different operatingsystems (Linux, Mac OS X, Microsoft), in at least one programming or scriptlanguage (e.g. Perl) and they should be familiar with annotation and querytools.
The position will be part-time (50%); salary and social benefits aredetermined by the German public service pay scale (TVL-13). The teachingload is two hours per week , which corresponds to one course persemester. Applicants should send their curriculum vitae, academictranscripts indicating their degrees and further detailed information ontheir language competence, experience in corpus linguistics and programmingetc. to the email address below.
The position is limited, for the time being, to 2 years (but can be renewed fora third year). It is available starting 1 April 2010 or soon thereafter.
