Project Linguist (Contract)Location: Farmington Hills, MI or Telecommute

Mango Languages is a state-of-the-art software developer that currentlyoffers more than a dozen language-learning programs. We are looking todouble the number of our course offerings in the next few months, and weare seeking to fill several positions immediately with highly qualified,self-motivated linguists to develop our language courses.

Mango teaches people foreign languages by taking into account the waypeople actually learn and acquire fluency in foreign languages. Ourtalented team of linguists, programmers, designers, and voice talentsincorporate linguistic theories that actually work, and we also bring humorand levity into the language learning process to keep students (as well asourselves) motivated. Our results prove that we teach people languages in afun and exciting way!

Overall job summary:Our Project Linguists are expected to draw upon their expertise inlinguistics and grammatical structure to manage the content of severaldifferent foreign language courses. You will be working with languageteachers and editors from around the globe! In the process of coursedevelopment, you will be required to learn the grammatical structure andcultural references for each language you are assigned. You must be able toutilize your creative problem solving skills in order to make ideas andconcepts for the course a reality. This position will initially be a 90-120day contract to assist with the rapid and exciting development of a newlanguage learning program.

Key job responsibilities:- Willingness/ability to work at least 50 to 60 hours per week duringcontract period.- Willingness to work odd hours and weekends to accommodate a globalworkforce of teachers/editors.- Ability to figure out the grammar of a new and totally foreign languagequickly and easily.- Ability to learn new software applications quickly and easily- Resourcefulness - able to find resources online to help learn about andcheck the target language.- Ability to work well with others from around the world through skype,chat and email.- Very organized and able to multi-task.- Local and willing to work from our office (will consider candidateswilling to work remotely)

Key characteristics:- Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred) in Linguistics- Fluent in at least 3 languages- Pure passion for languages- Excited about developing language learning courses- Proven track record of learning and utilizing new computer software- Extremely high attention to detail- Creative problem solver
