Meeting Description:

The conference is an open forum for research on the many and varied challengesthat face teachers of Arabic as first or second language. Papers will respondto the growing demand for research on the teaching and acquisition of Arabic inthe Middle East and worldwide. To this end, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatarand Qatar University welcome proposals that address the conference theme from abroad range of theoretically informed perspectives. These may include, but arenot limited to, Arabic teaching pedagogies, literacy, curricular innovations,learning technologies, and assessment tools.

Abstracts

We welcome proposals in two categories: papers and panels (Please check theformatting guidelines. The deadline for submission of abstracts is September15, 2010 via the online proposal form. Decisions will be relayed to authors byearly October.
