The University of Konstanz is one of the nine Universities of Excellence inthe Federal Republic of Germany.

The Department of Linguistics in the Faculty of Humanities at theUniversity of Konstanz invites applications for a tenured

W3-Professorship in Linguistic Phonetics

with interfaces with pragmatics and/or syntax, to be filled by April 1,2012. The language specialization is open. We are, however, looking forcandidates who will be able to complement existing strengths of ourdepartment.

We are looking for experts in the field of phonetics, as testified forexample by publications in established linguistic journals, importantmonographs, invited conference papers, fellowships and awards (i.e.,academic performance at least equivalent to 'Habilitation').

The selected candidate should carry out research and teaching in the fieldsof phonetics and its interfaces in the general linguistic study programme,including the German state degree for future teachers in at least two ofthe following languages: German, English, French and Spanish.
