The Department of Classics, Modern Languages and Linguistics at ConcordiaUniversity in Montreal, Quebec, is seeking applications for a Tenure TrackAppointment in Linguistics at the level of Assistant Professor. The successfulcandidate will have a PhD or be ABD in linguistics with a specialization inFormal Semantics, and will have an active research profile and broad teachingexperience. Teaching and research expertise in morphology and/or cognitivescience will be highly valued.
Applications must consist of a cover letter, a current curriculum vitae, copies ofrecent publications, a statement of teaching philosophy/interests, a statement ofresearch achievements, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Candidatesmust also arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly to thedepartment contact. Letters may be emailed by the author or sent by regularmail (electronic applications preferred).
Subject to budgetary approval, we anticipate filling this position, normally at therank of Assistant Professor, for July 1, 2012.
