Description:
Beginning tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish to begin August 2012.
Duties: Teach courses in general and theoretical Spanish linguistics at theundergraduate and graduate levels and Spanish language at the undergraduatelevel; assist with and direct theses and dissertations; advise graduatestudents; maintain an active research program.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in hand by August 2012 in general or theoreticalSpanish linguistics. Native-like fluency in Spanish and English.Demonstrated evidence of excellence in research and teaching. Backgroundin Spanish phonetics and phonology and history of the Spanish language tobe able to teach graduate-level introduction courses in those areas.
Areas of specialization: General and theoretical Spanish linguistics,Spanish phonetics, phonology and dialectology, history of the Spanishlanguage. Publications commensurate with experience.
