The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Göttingen invitesapplications for a full-time permanent position asProfessorof Romance Linguistics(salary level W3)in the Department of Romance Philology(from April 2012).
The future holder of the position is to represent Romance Philology fromboth a diachronic and synchronic perspective. He/she should be able todemonstrate focal areas of research in at least two Romance languages, inhistorical grammar, and in the systematic investigation of language(phonology, morphology, syntax or semantics). An interdisciplinaryorientation is expected that will ensure not only collaboration with theother linguistic and philological departments in the Faculty of Humanitiesbut also active participation in the ongoing development of the Faculty'sresearch focus, 'Grammatical Interfaces'. Collaboration with the CourantResearch Centre 'Text Structures' and the 'Göttingen Centre for DigitalHumanities' is desired.
