Assistant Professor of Spanish Linguistics (Phonetics/Phonology)
The Department of Romance Languages at the University of Georgia invitesapplications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Spanish Linguistics,beginning Fall 2012. Applicants should have a primary research and teachinginterest in Spanish phonetics and phonology; experience in another area ofSpanish linguistics and/or a second Romance language highly desirable.Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels,maintaining an active research program, and mentoring student research inthe MA and PhD programs in Hispanic Linguistics.
Ph.D./ABD (must have Ph.D. in hand at time of appointment).Native/near-native proficiency in Spanish and English. Evidence of qualityteaching and commitment to research.
