The University of Western Ontario, Department of Modern Languages andLiteratures, invites applications for a probationary (tenure track) position at therank of Assistant Professor in Spanish Linguistics to begin July 1, 2012. PhDcompleted before 1 July 2012 in Spanish Applied Linguistics, specialization inphonology/phonetics applied to bilingualism, second language acquisition orlanguage contact required. Experience in language program coordination, aninterest in classroom research, excellence in teaching and research and nativeor near-native fluency in Spanish are essential. Responsibilities will includecoordination of language courses and supervision of Graduate TeachingAssistants, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, M.A. and Ph.D.supervision, and an active role in the Linguistics and Hispanic Studiesprogrammes.
