My name is Karen Glaser, and I am a PhD student at Chemnitz University ofTechnology, Germany, conducting research on acquisitional pragmatics withlearners of English as a Foreign Language.
I am currently in the pilot test phase of the scenarios I'm planning to usein my DCT (Discourse Completion Task) Questionnaire, and I'm still lookingfor native speakers of English (any variety welcome!) who would be willingto complete a questionnaire containing 12 scenarios that are accompanied bymultiple choice questions capturing the respondent's spontaneousimpressions of the situations. The questionnaire is actually quiteentertaining (so I've been told) and should take no longer than 10-15minutes to complete.
The questionnaire is provided in both docx and doc format to ensure that itruns smoothly on most computers. It can be accessed here (furtherinstructions are provided in the questionnaire):
doc-format:http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/%7Ekreutel/Pragmatics/Situations_Questionnaire.doc
docx-format:http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/%7Ekreutel/Pragmatics/Situations_Questionnaire.docx
If you would like to help me with my research by completing thequestionnaire and/or passing it on to (other) suitable participants, I'dappreciate it very much. If you have any questions about my project, don'thesitate to contact me at karen.glaser(at)phil.tu-chemnitz.de.
Thank you for considering my request - I'm very grateful for any support.
Sincerely,
Karen Glaser
