Description:

The Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders at MichiganState University seeks to fill a faculty position with an individual committedto developing an outstanding program of research and teaching. The idealcandidate will be an energetic teacher/scholar who is excited at theopportunity to join an innovative and growing department.

This position is tenure system at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professorrank. Qualifications of preferred candidates include a Ph.D. incommunicative sciences and disorders or a related discipline, anddistinguished scholarship with emphasis on basic or clinical research inspeech-language disorders. Candidates must demonstrate success (or thepromise of success) in obtaining external funding for their research andthe potential for multidisciplinary collaboration.

The Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders(http://comdis.msu.edu) is housed within MSU's world-renowned Collegeof Communication Arts and Sciences and is located in East Lansing,Michigan. The College of Communication Arts & Sciences at MichiganState University, established in 1955, was the first such college in thecountry. Today, with more than 4,000 students, it is one of the largest andmost respected. The college combines a research-intensive faculty with astrong professional mission to prepare students for rewarding careers andemerging technologies.
