The 2nd Conference on English Language and Anglophone Literatures Today (ELALT 2) will be held in Novi Sad, Serbia on March 16, 2013. The host institution will be the Department of English Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad.
We are pleased to announce that the following keynote speakers have confirmed their participation at the Conference:

The full conference fee is 40 euros, and there is a reduced fee for students of 20 euros. Early registration, paid until February 15, 2013, is 30 euros. The conference fee includes participation at all sessions of the conference, the conference package (book of abstracts, conference programme, map of Novi Sad, etc.), light refreshments during coffee breaks and lunch. All participants are expected to pay their own travel and accommodation costs.
Call for Papers:
The 2nd Conference on English Language and Anglophone Literatures Today (ELALT 2) focuses on all aspects of English language, anglophone literature and culture. We welcome original contributions addressing a wide range of topics, including
- Phonetics and Phonology- Morphology- Syntax- Semantics, Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis- Contrastive and Contact Linguistics- Language Teaching and Language Acquisition- Translation Studies- Cultural Studies- Literary History and Theory across Cultures and Disciplines- Literary Genres- Approaches to Literature- Contemporary Writing- Women's Voices- Literature and the Media- Literature and Film- Poetry Today
The official language of the conference is English.
Submission of Abstracts:
Authors are asked to submit their abstracts in an anonymous DOC file to the following email address:
Abstracts, stating research questions, approach, method, data and (expected) results, should be anonymous and contain between 400 and 500 words (exclusive of references), set in Times New Roman 12-point type, single line spacing and 2.5 cm margins. Participants are allowed to present only one single-authored paper at ELALT 2013. In addition, they may have a joint paper (without being the first author).
In order to participate in the activities of ELALT 2, the authors of single-authored papers must register for the conference; in the case of joint papers, only the first author registers. Presentation slots last 30 minutes (20-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute discussion).
