Led by our recently appointed Vice-Chancellor, Sir David Bell,Reading's vision will be supported by 50 new academic posts. As partof this initiative, we are looking to recruit three outstandingresearchers in the field of multilingual language learning/acquisitionand/or literacy to lead, develop and expand a new multidisciplinaryresearch Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism. This is one of thesethree positions.

You will have an ambitious and innovative research agenda and will becomfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment withspecialists in fields such as applied linguistics, psychology,neuroscience, education and speech and language therapy.

You will have:- A strong research profile- Research interests and experience in areas that complement ongoingresearch in the University- Experience in applying for research grants from research councilsand other funding bodies for research- Good administrative skills
