The Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago invites applicationsfor a one-year full-time lecturer position in Basque language and culture, withrenewal possible based upon funding availability and satisfactory performanceand review. Applicants are expected to have expertise in teaching the Basquelanguage and culture to speakers of English.

Minimum teaching load is six courses per year; this includes a first year (threequarters) of Basque language, as well as three additional graduate and/orundergraduate courses as departmental and university needs dictate, plusadvising and service responsibilities.
