The Department of Linguistics, University of Toronto, invites applications fora one-year contractually limited term appointment (CLTA) at the rank ofAssistant Professor, effective August 1, 2012.

The position involves teaching 3 courses in Formal Semantics at the secondand third year undergraduate and graduate level, and 2 others to bedetermined from among courses such as the following: Introduction toLanguage, English Words, English Grammar, and Advanced Morphology;conducting research, serving on graduate committees, and taking part in thenormal activities of the Department.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. completed, evidence of researchability, and relevant teaching experience. Salary will be commensurate withqualifications and experience. Evidence of excellence in teaching andresearch is required.
