EF is searching for a doctorate-holding specialist in computer-assisted language learning to lead initiatives in blended learning,instructional systems design, materials and tools development, andteacher training. We are looking for a qualified and energetic appliedlinguist to join our worldwide academic operations and developmentteam in Zurich. You will bring your extensive experience of blendedlearning design and implementation to contribute to the growth ofEF's pioneering language learning system used in our schoolsworldwide. You will have extensive English language teachingexperience, ideally in the private sector, especially with universityand young professional students, as well as a passion for cuttingedge learning technologies and their potential. You will also have ledteams, managed budgets, juggled priorities, and met challengingdeadlines. Experience with editorial development of learningmaterials, from planning through to production is desired. Yourdoctoral studies will have been focused on second languageacquisition and language teaching, making you an ideal fit with anexperienced, innovative, and creative academic team. Requirements:- PhD or EdD in Applied Linguistics or closely related field;candidates with Master's level or other degrees will not beconsidered for this position- 5-10 years experience in English language teaching in bothacademic and commercial contexts, with a focus on CALL and theuse of new media- Evidence of leadership, innovative curriculum design, andmaterials development- Excellent organizational skills and project managementexperience- Outstanding writing and editing ability- Excellent mastery of English, additional languages a plus- EU/Swiss passport or pre-existing ability to work in Switzerland; weare unable to sponsor other candidates without exception
