Description:

The English department at the University of Tübingen invites applications forthe position of W1 Lecturer (Juniordozent/in) in English linguistics.

The position is due to commence on October 1st, 2012 and is for a period offour years with the possibility of an extension by a further two years.

The successful candidate will be expected to present the subject of Englishlinguistics in all its dimensions, with the main focus of teaching being onBachelor (BA) courses, teacher training courses (Lehramt English), and otherdegree programs in which English linguistics participates.

The position carries a teaching load of 12 hours. Requirements for anappointment are an excellent PhD dissertation in a relevant topic, universityteaching experience at various levels, and proven didactic competence.

The University of Tübingen is particularly interested in applications fromfemale candidates for this position and therefore strongly urges women toapply.
