Texas Tech University's Department of English invites applications for atenure-track Assistant Professor in Linguistics with specialization inPhonology. The area of specialization within Phonology is open. Additionalareas of expertise within Linguistics are desirable to support departmentaland interdisciplinary certificates as well as graduate and undergraduatedegree programs. Ph.D. required by starting date.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses,serve on thesis and dissertation committees, provide service to thedepartment, the college, and the university as necessary, and pursuescholarship or creative activity that attracts outside funding. 2/2 courseload guaranteed during first two years; then 3/3 with opportunities forreduction to 3/2.
