Description:
The Institut für Linguistik: Anglistik at the University of Stuttgart islooking for a part-time lecturer in English Linguistics(wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in, 50% TV-L 13). The position is permanent.
The teaching load is 4.5 hours per term, including "Phonetic Practice" andintroductory linguistics courses. The successful candidate is expected todevelop a curriculum for "Phonetic Practice" as a Blended Learning coursefor students in the B.Ed. Programme (Lehramt). Furthermore, s/he will be incharge of administrative tasks related to quality assurance in teaching.
Requirements for the post are a PhD or M.A. in English linguistics or asimilar suitable qualification, together with native competence in English.Experience in undergraduate teaching would be an advantage. Qualificationtowards a doctoral degree in the area of experimental phonology or secondlanguage acquisition (phonology) is encouraged. Additional funding iscurrently being explored.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who can work independently,but will also enjoy being part of our team. The candidate should have aprofessional working proficiency in German or is expected to acquire itwithin two years.
