Description:
The Department of English Linguistics of the College of English at HankukUniversity of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in Seoul will interview candidates duringthe next four weeks for two teaching positions that begin in the springsemester of 2013: one with a PhD in Linguistics; the other with an MA or MSin Linguistics and/or TESL. Only those with these qualifications need apply.
Faculty members at HUFS are required to publish academically. Dependingupon the quality of the journals in which one publishes, remuneration between1 million KRW and 10 million KRW will be awarded for up to two papers peryear. The university also supports attendance at selected internationalconferences.
The contract is for 2 semesters of 16 weeks each, teaching 8 hours per week(PhD), or 12 hours per week (MA). The pay ranges from 3.1 million KRW permonth to 4.6 million KRW per month, based on education, years of teaching,and publications, and is non-negotiable. Housing is available.
