Description:

Carleton College invites applications for a one-year visitingappointment at the rank of assistant professor in the small butenthusiastic Linguistics Department. We seek to hire a specialist insyntax and/or morphology. The Ph.D. is required by the beginning ofthe appointment. The successful candidate will be an excellentteacher, able to inspire very talented and hard-workingundergraduate students.

Carleton is on a trimester calendar, consisting of three ten-weekterms. We envision that our visitor will teach courses at theintroductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate levels. Thedepartment currently has three full-time tenure track faculty, and 21majors.
