For a paper on words used to refer to concepts of ''age/ageing/elderly'' inmarketing consumer products (e,g, clothing, cosmetics, residentialoptions, travel, etc.), I am seeking any corpora based on advertisingmaterials (that is, where advertising text is included and identified inthe annotation). I am aware that COCA – Corpus of Contemporary AmericanEnglish -- includes magazines and newspapers but does not (I believe, andwill verify), include the advertising content from those genres.
Also, for the same purpose, I would appreciate any references to contentanalyses focused on such words whether in advertising or generally. I amaware of Mautner's 2007 study on ''elderly'' in Language and Society, andKrekula's 2009 article on age-coding in the ''Language & Society ResearchCommitttee's Newsletter.''
I will compile responses received within a couple of weeks and circulatethe result to any who have responded; please indicate if you don't want that.
Thanks in advance,Corinne Kirchner
