Meeting Description:
The project 'What's Hard in German?' (WHiG?) is a 3-year AHRC/DFGproject that has been carried out by Bangor University and theHumboldt-Universität zu Berlin from July 2009 until June 2012. Theaim was to compile a learner corpus of written data as produced byadvanced British learners of German.
The main aim of our 2-day workshop is to introduce German as aforeign language (DaF) practitioners to corpus methods and tools onDay 1 and assist them creating corpus-informed teaching and learningmaterials on Day 2.
The workshop is restricted to 18 delegates. There are NO fees, butrefreshments, 2 lunches, and a USB stick will be provided.Delegates arrange their own travel and accommodation.
