Meeting Description:
The conference will be jointly funded between the UK Ministry of Defence (UK MOD), the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP - US Department of Justice) and the Language Fellow Program (US Department of State). The theme of the conference is English as a language of mission and security in military and police action. The conference will explore the design, development and delivery of materials for English language training for uniformed forces who serve domestically and internationally.
Call for Papers:
We welcome presentations and workshops from all ELT professionals working in the field of language training and education for the military or the police. Not only do we wish to explore English language teaching for uniformed forces in Indonesia but also in Asia and throughout the world as a whole. Our goal is to open the way for in-depth discussions, debates and the sharing of ideas that will lead to more enlightened classroom practices for the benefit of all language learners. Proposals addressing the conference themes will receive first consideration.
