Description:
The Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a senior lecturer position in our division of Educational Linguistics. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in applied or anthropological linguistics or a related field with a clear specialization in intercultural communication. Ideal candidates will have background teaching educational linguistics and sociolinguistics, two required courses for all students in our division. In addition, we expect the successful candidate to provide a leadership role in the development of curricular coherency across the multiple sections of these required courses as well as work with divisional faculty to develop and support new courses and programs based on student interest and need in our TESOL, Intercultural Communication, and Educational Linguistics programs.
Senior Lecturer appointments are made for three years, are subject to reappointment review at three-year intervals, and may be renewed as long as academic needs persist.
