Is there a database of the tone features in languages around the world?
While WAlS does this, they recognise that their sample of world languages is not representative, and I would like to be able to take some measurements on the frequency with which tonal languages occur.
I would also like to know what their consonant and vowel inventories where, and how they syllabify, if that information was similarly available.
