The Fifth International Conference on Classroom-oriented Research will be held at the University of Łódź, Poland, on December 13-14 2014. The conference is dedicated to academics and university lecturers, representatives of central and local educational authorities, non-governmental organizations and school teachers. The event is a great occasion for meeting experts in language acquisition working in a varied set of areas such as grammar, lexicon, discourse, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, sociolinguistics, language didactics and pedagogy and teacher education

Abstract Submission:
Traditionally, this conference focuses on various aspects of classroom-oriented research. The aim is to provide a forum in which to explore current trends in ELT and to discuss a number of subsidiary issues. The organizers look forward to papers in the following areas of English studies:
- Theoretical foundations of classroom-oriented research
- Analysis of classroom interaction
- Individual differences and language learning and teaching
- Multilingual and bilingual education
- CLIL
- Teaching languages for specific purposes
- Teachers’ knowledge and beliefs
- Reflective practice
- Enhancing teacher education
- Disseminating the findings of classroom-oriented research
Abstracts:
Abstracts of papers, workshops and posters in the range of 250-300 words should be submitted by email to psychouni.lodz.pl by May 31, 2014. The proposals should include the title, name, affiliation, email address and a short biographical note, about 80-100 words in length. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by June 30, 2014. Conference proceedings will be published.
