I am an MA student in Translation Studies at the University of Ottawa, and I am conducting research on the skills required for postediting as part of my thesis project. More specifically, I am trying to find out what skills trained translators might be missing, if any, in order to be effective posteditors. I have devised an anonymous online questionnaire that should require no more than 20 minutes to fill, about postediting and the skills that are required.

Anyone who postedits text translated from English into French as part of their paid work and is 18 years old or more can participate. Please note that the questionnaire is written in French.

In accordance with the requirements of the Research Ethics Committee, you will find, just below, the full text of the consent form, in French. You will notice that the text is quite lengthy. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

To access the questionnaire, simply click on the link at the very end of the consent form (or copy and paste it in your browser).

Thank you in advance for your participation. It is greatly appreciated.
