Linguistic Field(s): Applied Linguistics
Call Deadline: 15-Dec-2013
Meeting Description:
The conference aims to encourage discussion between linguists and school teachers to investigate how formal linguistics can be applied to the teaching of any natural language (modern languages, classical languages and dialects). The main purpose is to stimulate a profitable exchange between formal approaches to linguistic facts and the way in which they are usually dealt with in school practice. A further aim of the conference is to elaborate new teaching proposals on the basis of linguistic reflection.
Keynote Speakers:
Camilla Bettoni (Università di Verona)
Maria Giuseppa Lo Duca (Università degli Studi di Padova)
Nicoletta Penello (school teacher at IIS 'Tito Lucrezio Caro', Cittadella - PD)
Diego Pescarini (Università degli Studi di Padova)
Laura Vanelli (Università degli Studi di Padova)
Conference official languages are Italian and English.
2nd Call for Papers:
We invite abstracts for presentation at the workshop 'Linguistica e Didattica' to be held at the Università degli Studi di Padova, Padua (Italy), 25-26 February 2014.
No theoretical framework will be favoured; anyway, proposals which are based on the concrete analyses of empirical data are particularly welcome.
Contact: linguistica.didattica
gmail.com until 15 December 2013. The message should include the title of the abstract, the author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s), and the email address. Notification of acceptance will be emailed by 31 December 2013.
