The Language Study Unit at the Free University of Bozen - Bolzano (Italy) is seeking candidates for the following project:
3 Researcher / Research assistants in German Language/Sociolinguistics for the research project: KOMMA-Kompetenzen von Maturandinnen und Maturanden: Schulsprache Deutsch und Kontaktphänomene im mehrsprachigen Raum.
The contract duration of the mentioned position is for 3 years and is renewable once for a further maximum of 1 year.
The Language Study Unit (
http://www.languagestudies.unibz.it/) is devoted to the analysis of how linguistic systems, languages and language varieties coexist and are related to one another within society, groups and individuals.
The successful candidate will be involved in the Language Study Unit research projects, especially on German Language/Sociolinguistics in contact situations. S/he will focus on the spoken and written German proficiency of high-school students in the South Tyrol area. For more information see the link below.
The trilingual Free University of Bozen – Bolzano (Italy) was founded in 1997 as a non-state-controlled but legally recognized university, and brings together the German and Italian cultural and economic worlds. The university aims to increase its female teaching and research quota and encourages qualified women to apply.
