Meeting Description:
The French Phonology Network (Réseau français
de phonologie) is launching a call for papers
for its 2014 annual conference. The 2014
edition will take place from 30 June to 2 July
at the Université Charles-de-Gaulle - Lille 3
in Lille, France.
The conference is sponsored by the research
laboratory Savoirs, Textes, Langage (STL - UMR
8163 CNRS/Université de Lille 3).
We are pleased to announce that the following
researchers have accepted invitations to give
keynote talks:
Martin Joachim Kümmel, University of Jena,
Germany
Annie Rialland, Laboratory LPP (CNRS)
Final Call for Papers
Extended deadline: March 15, 2014.
Main Session:
Submissions are welcomed from linguists working
in any school or theoretical framework. Topics
of interest may relate to phonology in general
or propose a phonological analysis of a
linguistic phenomenon in a specific language.
Topics may focus on, but are not limited to,
signal processing, perception, acquisition,
diachrony, dialectology, formalism,
epistemology, descriptive phonology and all
issues which explicitly deal with phonology and
its interfaces.
Thematic Session:
The chosen topic for this year's special
session is historical phonology.
Abstract Submission and Review:
Abstracts can be written in either French or
English. Abstracts should not exceed two pages
in length (A4 pages, TimesNewRoman or similar,
12 point), including all examples, figures and
references.
Abstracts should be submitted using the
EasyChair platform at the following address:
https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=rfp2014.
All abstracts will undergo anonymous review by
two referees. Decisions concerning acceptance
will be made after discussion by the scientific
committee.
Organization:
Presentations will be scheduled for 35-minute
time slots (25 minutes for presentation and 10
minutes for discussion).

1st call for papers: Mid-November 2013
2nd call for papers: February 2014
Final call for papers: March 2014
Deadline for submission: 15 March 2014
Notification of acceptance: 15 April 2014
