Dear colleagues,

I am currently a Spanish Language and General Linguistics student at the National University of Distance Education (Madrid).

I am working on my Doctorate thesis. The topic of my research is : La problemática de la reforma lingüística: caso del español frente al sexismo lingüístico.
My research focuses on linguistic sexism in Spanish and the attempts being made at language reform. Specifically, I examine the influence of feminist linguistics on the spanish language and I also look at factors that could obstruct or facilitate the elimination of gender discrimination in spanish.

I am collecting data on perceptions, attitudes and beliefs on Anti-Sexist language. I am trying to gather data from native speakers as well as fluent speakers of Spanish.

I have designed three distinct questionnaires in which I ask questions on sexism and demographic information such as gender, age, nationality, profession and level of fluency (for non native speakers). They are all brief questionnaires that would only take about 20 minutes to answer.

I would be most grateful if native speakers of Spanish could participate in my research by answering my questionnaires. Fluent Spanish speakers are also invited to do same.
I would be extremely grateful if you could spread the questionnaires to fellow faculty and students in your university and other institutions.

I assure the anonymity of all information gathered and also agree to thank those participants who wish to reveal their real names, in the acknowledgements of my thesis.
