Meeting Description:
This two-day conference is organized by the
research project Syntax of Hessian Dialects
(SyHD), which is a joint project conducted by
the Universities of Frankfurt, Marburg and
Vienna. Its goal is the comprehensive survey
and analysis of a range of dialect syntactic
phenomena in the German state of Hesse. The
focus of this conference will be on presenting
the results of dialect syntactic research and
on discussing their role in advancing
contemporary syntactic theory.

2nd Call for Papers:
We invite abstracts for presentations on:
- Empirically and/or theoretically oriented
investigations of dialect syntactic
phenomena,
- The implications of dialect syntactic
research for syntactic theory,
- Discussions of the methodology of dialect
syntactic research.
Abstracts should be one page in length and may
be written in English or German. Any
theoretical approach, formal or functional, is
welcome. The conference is not limited to any
specific dialect area.
