Description:
We offer language and literature classes at all

approximately forty undergraduate and graduate
students, and especially embrace beginners.
In
addition to our morning core language classes,
optional courses in the afternoon address more
specific needs (graduate reading knowledge ,
phonetics, and field-specific courses in
various disciplines). The academic
instruction
is supplemented by a wide variety of language-
and culture-related activities, such as
workshops, films, lectures, games, and outings.
Our faculty is exclusively made up of native
speakers, many joining us directly from
Germany
for the summer. And we take pride in offering a
ratio of students to native speakers of around
5:1, which creates a friendly, personable
language learning environment.
