The first seminar on control and finiteness at
USP will bring together
researchers from several countries to discuss
new empirical data and novel
theoretical proposals on Control and nonfinite
complementation.

Call for Papers:
The organizing committee of the first seminar
on control and finiteness at
USP invites abstracts for papers to be
presented during the seminar.
The topics of the seminar are:
- Theory of Control
- Nonfinite complementation in under-described
languages
- Nonfinite clauses and the definition of
(non)finiteness
- Inflected and personal infinitives
- Any other subject related to the theme of the
seminar
We invite abstract submissions for 45-minute
oral presentations, to be
followed by 15-minute discussions.
Abstracts should be anonymous, written in
English, and no longer than two
pages, including references and examples, in
12-point Times New Roman, with
margins of at least 2,5 cm / 1 inch.
Deadline: Please submit your abstract to
modesto
usp.br listing authors and
affiliation in the body of the email, until May
30, 2014. Notification of
acceptance will be sent by June 15th 2014.
Submissions for the seminar are limited to a
maximum of one abstract per
author (either alone or in co-authorship).
