The Linguistics Program at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral teaching fellowship to begin Fall 2014. The initial appointment is for one academic year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The successful candidate will be required to teach four undergraduate courses per year. Candidates should be prepared to teach Introduction to Linguistics and basic courses in phonology, syntax, and semantics.
The Linguistics Program is housed in the Philosophy Department at Washington University. It has close ties to the Psychology Department and the Program in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology. Candidates interested in interacting with faculty in one or more of these departments (for example, candidates with an interest in philosophy of language, psycholinguistics, or general cognitive science) are especially encouraged to apply.
Ph.D. in Linguistics must be completed by start of the appointment. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
