Full Title: Journal of Applied Linguistics and
Discourse Studies
Linguistic Field(s): Applied Linguistics;
Discourse Analysis
The Journal of Applied Linguistics and
Discourse Studies is a peer reviewed
publication which welcomes papers on topics
relevant to two areas of scholarly inquiry:
applied linguistics, particularly second
language acquisition studies and TESL;
discourse studies, including writing and genre
studies. The journal also welcomes working
papers in the form of, for example,
contributions by language teachers about
pedagogical concerns, and papers by graduate
students in the relevant areas. Book reviews of
recent publications of relevance to the
journal's topic focus are also welcome. This
journal will be published twice annually. This
journal provides immediate open access to its
content on the principle that making research
freely available to the public supports a
greater global exchange of knowledge.
