Meeting Description:
Sharif University of Technology will host the
3rd Conference on Computational Linguistics in
November 19-20, this year. The papers presented
in this event are scientific achievements of
researchers who specialize in theoretical and
practical realms of linguistics, cognitive
sciences, artificial intelligence, machine
translation, information and communication
technology, designing of search engines, data
development from language corpora, text and
speech processing, text-to-speech conversion,
speech-to-text conversion, and developing
databases. Therefore, the conference will
encompass a broad range of researches
investigating issues in natural language
processing and practical studies in the field
of computation linguistics.
A string of coincidences including the 50th
anniversary of the foundation of Sharif
University of Technology, and simultaneously
the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the
first Linguistics Department in Iran, gave the
conference organizers a greater incentive to
commemorate these two historic events by
conducting the 3rd conference on computational
linguistics as a joint effort of Sharif
University of Technology, and the Linguistics
Society of Iran.
Call for Papers:
The 3rd Conference on Computational Linguistics
is a joint effort of Sharif University of
Technology and Linguistics Society of Iran. The
scientific committee of the conference invites
the submission of full papers on substantial,
original, and unpublished research in all
aspects of Computational Linguistics, including
but not limited to the following areas:
- Artificial intelligence
- Machine translation
- Information and communication technology
- Search engine designing
- Text mining and information extraction
- Text and speech processing
- Text-to-speech conversion
- Speech-to-text conversion
- Development of language resources
Prospective authors are invited to submit full
(and original research) papers (which is not
submitted/published/under consideration
anywhere in other conferences/journal) in
electronic format online.
All full paper submissions will be peer
reviewed and evaluated based on originality,
technical and/or research content/depth,
correctness, relevance to conference,
contributions, and readability. All accepted
papers that are registered and presented on
CLconference 2014 will be published in the
conference proceedings.
The languages of the conference will be Persian
and English. Submission and reviewing will be
managed online by the conference system.
Submissions must be uploaded on the system by
the submission deadlines; submissions after
that time will not be reviewed.
Paper presentations will consist of a 20 minute
talk followed by 10 minutes for questions and
discussion.
