The new solicitation for the Information and Intelligent Systems (IIS) Core Programs, including Robust Intelligence, which supports research projects in computational linguistics, appeared late last month. The link is

There are only a few changes from last year's announcement, the most important of which is the deadline date for Medium projects (total budgets of $500K to $1.2M), which is Monday, November 10, 2014. The deadline for Large projects (total budgets of $1.2M to $3M) is Thursday, November 20, and for Small projects (total budgets up to $500K) is Wednesday, January 14, 2015.

In addition, this year's deadline for the CISE Research Infrastructure (CRI) Program (http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2014/nsf14593/nsf14593.pdf) is Thursday, November 6. CRI provides support for planning grants and projects to develop annotated language corpora, among other things.
