Position Description
The Department of Languages at Clemson University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Spanish, tenure track, beginning Fall 2015. We seek a specialist in second language acquisition and language pedagogy, or related linguistic areas, with research concentration in Spanish and with experience in relevant technologies. Responsibilities include teaching Spanish language courses at all undergraduate levels, coordinating the sequence of the 1000 and 2000 level Spanish courses in collaboration with all Spanish faculty, and providing orientation and support to Spanish lecturers.
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate scholarly potential, excellence in teaching, native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English, and a strong commitment to service at the university and in the professor. Candidates must have Ph.D. by or before August 2015.
Pay & Work Schedule: Standard Hrs: 37.5; Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
