48th Annual Meeting of the Societas Linguistica Europaea

The Societas Linguistica Europaea (SLE) and Leiden University (Netherlands) are pleased to announce the '48th Annual Meeting of the Societas Linguistica Europaea (SLE 2015)', to be held in Leiden, 2-5 September 2015.

SLE meetings provide a forum for high-quality linguistic research from all (sub)domains of linguistics and seeks to attract the submission of workshop proposals on specialised linguistic areas. The meetings also host a round table of experts to discuss topics of linguistic interest. The SLE 2015 round table bears the title 'Interaction and Linguistic Structure'.

Call for Papers:

The Societas Linguistica Europaea and the University of Leiden invite you to submit workshop proposals, and workshop, poster or general session papers for the next annual meeting, SLE 2015.

Submission Guidelines for Workshop Proposals, Workshop Papers, General Session Papers and Posters

Workshop Proposals:

The address for submission is Workshop proposals should contain:

(i) A description of the topic and research questions (max. 1000 words).
(ii) A (provisional) list of workshop participants and their provisional abstracts (max. 300 words per abstract).

The format of the workshops should be organized around 30 minute slots (20 min. presentation, 10 min. discussion). Workshops should contain either 10 or 15 slots (1 or 1.5 days).

Workshop convenors are encouraged to distribute a CFPs on the LinguistList (please, announce your CFP as a session of SLE 2015) and other fora in October and November 2014.

General Session Papers, Posters and Workshop Papers:

Abstracts are submitted via Easychair ( They should be inserted in the “abstract” box and also uploaded as an attachment (only Word, rtf or .odt formats). If they contain special characters, please also send a PDF version to

Prize for the Best Presentation and the Best Poster:

There will be a prize for the best oral presentation by a PhD student, a prize for the best oral presentation by a postdoc and a prize for the best poster.

15 December 2014: Notification of workshop acceptance
15 January 2014: Deadline for submission of all abstracts
31 March 2015: Notification of paper acceptance
1 April 2015: Early bird registration starts
1 June 2015: Full fee registration starts
30 June 2015: Closing registration date for participants with a paper
15 August 2015: Closing registration date for participants without a paper
