The English Program at Penn State Erie, the Behrend College is offering a full-time one-year (with possibility of renewal for a second year) fellowship to teach basic ELL reading/composition and to work as writing support staff and tutor in cooperation with the ELL program and Learning Resource Center.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will be currently ABD.
Other Requirements:
The candidate should also possess:
- an MA in Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, or Foreign/Second Language Acquisition/Education;
- knowledge of research and/or graduate study in ESOL theory and practice;
- college-level ELL teaching;
- experience with multicultural studies and teaching/researching in multicultural settings.
Also, overseas teaching in multicultural settings is desired.
Candidates' fluency in at least one language other than English, along with a background in TESOL, TOEFL, or IELTS and digital writing instruction are also desired.
