Meeting Description:

Linguistics at the University of Hong Kong is hosting a one-day conference on tone. Tone is currently being investigated from many different angles, and we hope to shed light, either directly or peripherally, on the representation of tone, where representation is broadly construed, including acoustics, perception, production, statistics etc. This one-day event will include an hour-long poster session in the afternoon, and will assemble many of Hong Kong’s local tone experts

Call for Papers:

We invite submissions for posters and 25-minute oral presentations. Abstracts (including references and figures) should be anonymous and no more than one page.

Abstracts should be sent as a pdf (or .txt, .doc(x)) to hku.tonegmail.com. Please write your 'last-name plus abstract' (e.g. Donohue abstract) in the subject line of your message and include the following information in the body of the message:

Author name(s), affiliation, contact information and the title of the abstract, presentation preference: talk or poster.

For co-authored papers, please indicate the email address that should be used for correspondence.
