Meeting Description:
The purpose of the meeting is to bring together Vietnamese language teachers and scholars to discuss and share research and experience, and to forge and sustain meaningful professional dialogues in the teaching of Vietnamese language to heritage and non-heritage learners.
The meeting is co-organized with and sponsored by the department of Asian Languages and Cultures at UCLA. Information on registration, travel and lodging will be posted later on the GUAVA website:

Call for Papers:
We invite abstracts for a 20-minute presentation with 10 minutes for discussion on any issue related to researching and teaching Vietnamese language. Topics of interests are, but not limited to, language structure, acquisition, teaching, methodology, curriculum, issues on Heritage language learners and identity, and language teaching in the Digital Age.
The abstract should not be more than two pages including references and examples. Please include in the abstract the title, name, affiliation and email of the author(s). The abstract should be sent to: GUAVAmerica2015
