Description of Position

Diablo Valley College is seeking a full-time (15 lecture hours/week), tenure track academic position in Japanese to begin August 2015. The successful applicant will be well qualified to teach all Japanese courses.

Yearly Salary Range / Hourly Range: $55,668 - $83,772

Position Status: Tenured Track

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience

The applicant must possess one of the following qualifications (earned degrees must be from an accredited college/university):

1. Master’s degree or higher in Japanese; OR
2. Bachelor’s degree in Japanese AND a Master’s Degree in another language or linguistics; OR
3. A valid California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing full-time instruction in Japanese; OR
4. The equivalent.
