Meeting Description:

The XVII EURALEX International Congress will be held 6 – 10 September 2016 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The Congress will be organized by the Lexicographic Centre at Ivané Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The EURALEX Congresses bring together professional lexicographers, publishers, researchers, software developers and others interested in dictionaries of all types.

The programme will include plenary lectures, parallel sessions on various topics, software demonstrations, a round-table discussion, pre-congress tutorials and specialized workshops, a book and software exhibition as well as social events for participants and their guests.

The motto of this edition of the EURALEX International Congress is: Lexicography and Linguistic Diversity.

All relevant dates will be published on the congress website and updated regularly.

Call for Papers:

Papers, posters and software demonstrations are invited on all topics of lexicography, including, but not limited to, the following fields:

- The Dictionary-Making Process
- Research on Dictionary Use
- Lexicography and Language Technologies
- Lexicography and Corpus Linguistics
- Bi- and Multilingual Lexicography
- Lexicography for Specialised Languages, Terminology and Terminography
- State of Lexicography and Corpus Linguistics in post-Soviet states
- Historical and Scholarly Lexicography and Etymology
- Lexicography and Semantic Theory
- Phraseology and Collocation
- Lexicological Issues of Lexicographical Relevance
- Reports on Lexicographical and Lexicological Projects

The main topics are not meant to exclude any lexicographic topic. Papers, posters and demonstrations that are relevant to the congress, but which do not fit into any of the categories 1-12, will be reviewed nonetheless and considered for presentation.

Types of Contributions and Submissions:

When handing in your proposal, you can choose between the following types of contribution:

- Papers (full papers, short papers)
- Software demonstrations
- Posters

Papers and posters can be presented in any European language, but please note that no interpreting services are offered at the Congress. For a proper evaluation of the abstracts it is recommended that abstracts are written in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian. If you want to submit an abstract in another language, please contact the local organizers before submission.

All proposals will be anonymously reviewed by a minimum of two members of the Scientific Committee.

More detailed information about the submission of contributions can be found on the congress website. The submission link will be published by the middle of September 2015.

The registration for the congress as well as the submission of contributions has to be done online.

The deadline for the submission of contributions is 15 October, 2015.
