Your job
- Carry out research for a PhD in relation to English in the fields of multilingual communication studies (visit our research group INTERCOMM:
http://www.intercomm.ugent.be), translation and/or interpreting studies (visit our research groups EQTIS:
http://eqtis.ugent.be or TRACE:
http://www.trace.ugent.be) or language acquisition and didactics (visit our research group GoLLD:
http://www.golld.ugent.be);
- Teach courses in language usage and translation with English;
- Coach individual students (guided self-study, coach bachelor papers);
- Participate in didactic projects;
- Participate in the academic and external services of the English section and the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication.
Our offer
- We offer you an appointment of two years. This appointment can be renewed for two years twice after positive assessment of the preceding term.
- Note: if you had a previous appointment in the function of an assistant or doctoral fellow at a university in the Flemish Community, this will be deducted from the maximum appointment time, which is maximum 6 years according to the Codex for Higher Education.
- Your job starts on 1/10/2015 at the earliest.
