Meeting Description:
Join us for a reflection on current sociolinguistic theory and practice from the perspective of ongoing postgraduate research. The School of English at the University of Hong Kong invites postgraduates and young researchers to participate in an explicit re-assessment of sociolinguistic theory in the context of their own studies. Led by two influential, international scholars in the field of sociolinguistics, participants will receive feedback and engage in a discussion of research that has continually made Hong Kong an international hub of excellence in sociolinguistics, applied linguistics and discourse analysis.
